In 30-50 years, when the temperature rises by a few more degrees, we will approach the conditions that were in the age of the dinosaurs. This opinion was expressed by Denis Pishnyak, Candidate of Geographical Sciences and Head of the Department of Atmospheric Physics and Geocosmos at the National Antarctic Scientific Center.

Pishnyak noted that the human body can develop adaptive mechanisms to cope with heat, but it will take a lot of Time.

A change of a dozen generations is necessary, it is necessary for natural selection to work and for new properties of organisms to crystallize. Our warming is rapidly developing over two to three generations. Although if biologists could clone dinosaurs, they would be more or less comfortable in our near future. That is, in 30-50 years, when the temperature rises by a couple more degrees, we will come close to the conditions that were in the age of the dinosaurs

When asked whether each subsequent summer will be hotter than the previous one, Pishnyak replied that this is an apocalyptic vision. Natural fluctuations have a wide range and hinder scientists from identifying climate trends.

The coming years may be hot, and then the next few will be cool, and this will oscillate back and forth repeatedly

Pishnyak also noted that not every year will there be enough snow for sledding. Although the last winter was snowy, and the previous ones were not very much so, snow will fall, but it may not stay on the surface.

Earlier, Pishnyak expressed the opinion that due to abnormal heat, part of the Earth will have survival problems, but the temperature apocalypse is unpredictable.

According to research results, it was clear that 2023 was the hottest year, but the worst awaits us in the future. Climate change researcher and Atlantic Council member Jeff Goodell in his book "The Heat Will Kill Us First" presents a bleak scenario of climate changes that humanity must get used to.
