The Ministry of Economy has provided a forecast for Ukrainian exports in 2025.
The government expects an increase in Ukrainian exports despite a smaller harvest of late crops
The Ukrainian government forecasts a 7% increase in the country's exports by 2025, even though the growth of late crops will be less than expected. This information was confirmed by Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine. He also noted that this is an objective forecast, and there is a possibility of an even more optimistic scenario.
The National Bank of Ukraine has improved its export growth forecast to 0.9% in 2025. However, the bank's own report predicts that a decrease in exports will be due to a smaller harvest and weaker demand for IT services. In light of this, Taras Kachka emphasized that in considering the export market needs, it is necessary to pay attention not only to the volume of the harvest but also to the mix of crops.
According to Kachka, the pricing demand has changed, so an increase in the export of grains and oils is expected for the next year. Regarding the export of metallurgical products, much will depend on the decisions made in North America regarding customs restrictions, but there is a possibility for growth.
According to data from the National Bank of Ukraine, exports increased by 8.4% in the first 9 months of this year, while imports increased by only 0.9%.
