Ukraine suffered the largest drone attack
In the night of November 26, 2024, Russian troops launched the largest number of strike drones in their history - 188 units, as well as 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down about 80 drones, while more than 90 were locationally lost. Each drone contains 85 parts of foreign production, which totals almost 16 thousand components.
According to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the attack was carried out from several directions - Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
To counter the enemy UAVs, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare means, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved. As a result of the massive attack, impacts on critical infrastructure facilities were recorded, particularly a complicated situation occurred in Ternopil.
Private and apartment buildings in several regions were also damaged. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or injuries. President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the international community to enhance control over the enforcement of sanctions against Russia, emphasizing that such large-scale attacks are possible only due to bypassing the restrictive measures through various schemes.
