According to ТСН: The martial law in Ukraine will end when security guarantees are provided, which include monitoring and the presence of international partners.

Presidential Comment

President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed this opinion during a conversation with journalists, discussing the results of negotiations with Donald Trump.

“First of all, we all want the war to end, and then the martial law will end. And only then. But the martial law will end at the moment when security guarantees appear in Ukraine. Without security guarantees, this war has not really ended. We cannot acknowledge that it has ended,” emphasized the head of state.

Risk of Repeated Aggression

Zelensky also noted that with a neighbor like Russia, there is a threat of repeated aggression.

Signal for Ending the War

The President clarified what signal will signify the complete end of the war.

“Because there may be a risk of repeated aggression with such a neighbor. It is monitoring of partners and their presence. I think we are seriously determined, we will discuss it with our partners, how we can finalize all the documents, and if we find opportunities with everyone, with the Americans, Europeans, and with the Russians, to sign 20 points for ending the war, I am very determined that at that moment we will simultaneously receive security guarantees. That is, we will not waste time. And at the moment when we receive them, it will be a signal for all of us that the war has ended,” summarized Volodymyr Zelensky.

Let us remind you, Volodymyr Zelensky proposed Donald Trump a historic decision — security guarantees for 50 years.

The President's statement underscores the importance of international support for ending the conflict. Security guarantees from partners are a key factor in ensuring stability in Ukraine and preventing possible new threats. This confirms the relevance of dialogue with international allies in the context of the war in the eastern part of the country.
