Yuriy Fedorenko Speaks Out on Russian Threats

According to Espreso.tv: Yuriy Fedorenko, the commander of the 429th Unmanned Systems Brigade 'Achilles,' has shared his perspective on the latest Russian attacks against Ukraine and called for a significant expansion of air defense units. He made these remarks during the program 'Ukrainian Focus. Morning' on Slawa.TV and Espreso.

On the night of June 2, Russian occupation forces launched a massive combined missile and drone assault on Ukraine, resulting in fatalities in Kyiv and Dnipro, as well as casualties in the Kyiv region and Kharkiv. Fedorenko stated that these strikes align with Moscow's broader strategy to dismantle Ukrainian statehood through terror and the destruction of its people.

Urgent Need to Bolster Air Defenses

At the same time, he emphasized that

“Ukraine performed at a high level in terms of air defense today”
and urged for a further increase in the numbers of units that are already effectively protecting Ukrainian skies.
“I call on every eligible person to choose a unit and join the national shield of Ukraine,”
he added.

Fedorenko's statement highlights the critical importance of strengthening Ukraine's air defense capabilities amid ongoing threats from the Russian Federation. The recent large-scale missile and drone attacks underscore the severity of the situation and the need for swift action not only from the military but also from society as a whole. Enlisting new recruits into defense units could play a key role in ensuring the country's security.
