Who can be denied signing a contract among volunteers aged 18-24? Answer from the Ministry of Defense.
Young Ukrainians aged 18 to 24 can serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under a contract, but some volunteers may not have this opportunity due to health issues. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense, Dmytro Lazutkin.
According to him, military brigades will select those who can perform the tasks defined by their positions.
This depends on the representatives of the brigades who are involved in this process. If there is some inadequate person, for example, with a destabilized psyche, they may be dangerous in the unit. Probably, they will not be given the opportunity to sign a contract. The team will form itself.
The spokesperson also added that volunteers will be able to undergo a military medical commission (MMC) in medical institutions of their choice.
People can undergo the MMC without waiting in line. These points are outlined in the regulation, so there will be no issues with queues and other nuances. If a person is psychologically prepared to join the military, they usually pass the MMC quickly if they do not have serious health problems.
Let us remind you that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has launched the project 'Contract 18-24' for young Ukrainians aged 18 to 24 who are ready to join the Armed Forces for one year. The known brigades where one can serve, as well as available military positions, are specified.
Currently, applications for a one-year contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be submitted through the online service 'Reserve+'.
