According to Novyny.live: On June 18, the Ukraine Defense Contact Group convened and resolved three critical issues. Representatives from multiple nations attended the session to discuss ongoing support for Ukraine amid the protracted conflict.
Country Contributions to Ukraine’s Defense
Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Latvia, Iceland, and Australia contributed over one billion dollars to the PURL program. Additionally, Norway, Denmark, Luxembourg, and Spain announced aid packages worth more than 500 million dollars. The United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Norway also provided approximately one billion dollars in contributions for the production of Ukrainian drones and missiles.
This meeting underscored the international community’s backing for Ukraine and the importance of cross-border cooperation in strengthening the nation’s defense capabilities.
The gathering of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group once again demonstrated global solidarity in safeguarding Ukraine’s security. The substantial financial pledges and commitments from participating countries reflect a sustained dedication by partners to assist Ukraine during the armed conflict.
