The Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB agent in Kharkiv who was adjusting Russian shelling of the city's energy infrastructure. This information was reported by the SBU press service on Thursday, July 31.
According to the SBU, the Russian special service agent was recruited via Telegram channels with the promise of easy money and was gathering coordinates of energy facilities in Kharkiv. His task was to scout the geolocations of mobile fire groups, boiler houses, and other facilities.
During the special operation, SBU officers managed to detain the suspect, seize evidence of cooperation with the FSB, and inform him of the suspicion of state treason. The agent is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment with property confiscation.
