Russia Plans to Resettle Occupied Territories with Its Citizens: The Kremlin's Goal.
According to inkorr.com: Russian officials plan to settle occupied Ukrainian territories with loyal citizens from remote regions of Russia. This is part of a strategy of Russification and changing the ethnic composition in Ukraine, reports the National Resistance Center.
The occupying authorities plan to accept residents from Donbas, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions, but will actually settle 'loyal subjects' of the Russian Federation from other regions of the country in these territories.
Russification of Youth and Social Initiatives
The Kremlin intends to actively implement Russification among youth in occupied territories, suppressing Ukrainian identity and promoting the Russian language. In Luhansk region, in particular, the creation of a youth Stakhanovite movement is proposed, within which compulsory internships for students in enterprises are planned, as well as competitions among their groups.
Negative Consequences for the Region
Such actions by Russia cause serious outrage and may provoke new conflicts in eastern Ukraine, further complicating the political and socio-cultural situation in the region.
The actions of the occupying authorities affect not only the inhabitants of these territories but also the stability throughout the region. The intention to change the ethnic composition raises concerns and may lead to an escalation of tension that requires the attention of the international community.
