Polish regions are actively preparing for the arrival of Ukrainian refugees due to the difficult situation in Ukraine. The head of the Przemyśl branch of the Union of Ukrainians in Poland, Igor Horkiv, expects an increase in the number of refugees. Currently, there is a reception point in Przemyśl with 80 places, which is almost constantly full.
According to the Border Service, almost 2 million Ukrainians entered Poland from September to November. Sejm deputy Maria Yanskaya emphasizes the need to be prepared for the worsening of the situation. The key threat is a potential humanitarian crisis due to the lack of electricity and heating in Ukrainian cities.
