New record for the dollar exchange rate
Thus, the dollar exchange rate in Ukraine has updated its historical maximum. The previous record was set when the official rate was 42.56 UAH per dollar.
State of the currency market
The increase in the dollar exchange rate indicates further weakening of the hryvnia on the Ukrainian currency market.
Pension increase
It is also worth noting that from January 1, 2026, pensions in Ukraine will increase. This increase has become possible due to the growth of the minimum living wage and minimum salary.
It is important to note that the rise in the dollar exchange rate may affect inflation and the purchasing power of the population. At the same time, the increase in pensions will support citizens amid economic uncertainty. Citizens expect that these changes will help them adapt to the new market conditions.
