Business forecasts the dollar exchange rate for 2026: 46 hryvnias per dollar.
According to inkorr.com: According to the results of a survey by the Association 'Business Forecasts for 2026', the leaders of the companies participating in the European Business Association predict a dollar exchange rate of 46 hryvnias while planning budgets for the upcoming year. This is higher than in previous years: 44 UAH/USD in 2025 and 41 UAH/USD in 2024.
Optimistic forecasts of entrepreneurs
The majority of entrepreneurs are quite optimistic about the next year: 55% expect positive changes, which is slightly more compared to last year (53%). 30% do not predict significant changes, while 15% anticipate negative trends.
77% of company leaders expect an increase in income in national currency, which is a positive trend compared to 72% last year. The number of pessimists has decreased from 15% to 12%. Regarding the possible cessation of military actions in 2026, opinions are divided: 29% hope for this, 19% do not believe in such a development of events, while 52% refrain from making forecasts.
Growing investment activity
There is also an increase in investment activity: 20% of companies plan large-scale capital investments (compared to 16% in the previous year), and the average size of projects has increased from 9 to 14 million dollars.
Implementation of artificial intelligence technologies
The majority of survey participants plan to use artificial intelligence technologies to optimize business processes: 74% noted areas of AI application such as corporate training, analytics, automation of operations, supply and sales planning, marketing, and accounting.
The survey among the leaders of the companies participating in the European Business Association showed that most of them hope for positive changes, income growth, and investment activity, as well as plan to use artificial intelligence technologies to optimize their operations.
These forecasts indicate a gradual recovery of the economy, despite the challenges faced by entrepreneurs. The optimism of entrepreneurs, supported by a willingness to invest and implement cutting-edge technologies, could become an important factor in forming a stable economic environment in Ukraine in the coming years.
