Dollar exchange rate next week: expert named exact fluctuation range.
According to inkorr.com: Taras Lesovyi, the director of the financial markets and investment activities department at Globus Bank, shared his forecasts regarding the exchange rate of major currencies for the second week of September. He noted that the dollar exchange rate will remain stable and will fluctuate between 41.2 and 41.8 hryvnias per dollar.
'At the same time, the National Bank, as the main market player, can take measures to maintain balance between demand and supply if necessary. However, even here the volumes of possible currency interventions are unlikely to surprise: it is expected that the NBU will sell between $600 and $800 million a week to meet the potential demand'
In addition, it is forecasted that the difference between the buying and selling rates in the currency market will remain minimal due to the strengthened 'managed flexibility' regime, which protects the market from sharp fluctuations.
Forecasted indicators of the currency market
The expert believes that in the coming weeks the currency market will have the following characteristics:
- currency 'corridors': 41.4 - 41.8 UAH/$ and 48 - 49 UAH/euro on the interbank market, as well as 41.2 - 41.6 UAH/$ and 48 - 49.5 UAH/euro on the cash market;
- the difference between the buying and selling rates of different currencies;
- the difference between the buying and selling rates in the cash segment.
Thus, the expert expects stability in the currency market of Ukraine in the coming week, emphasizing that the overall economic development of the country contributes to the strengthening of the hryvnia and the reduction of pressure on the exchange rate.
Overall, Taras Lesovyi's forecasts indicate positive trends in the country's economy. Maintaining a stable exchange rate may also influence the growth of investor confidence and an increase in the overall level of investment activity in Ukraine. Therefore, the further developments in the currency market will remain the focus of attention for economists and financiers.
