Dollar to Reach 43.5 Hryvnias: What to Expect for Ukrainians in December.

According to ТСН: December may become a month of significant dollar growth for Ukrainians. Experts predict that the American currency will rise in value actively, but the intervention of the National Bank may restrain a greater increase in the exchange rate.

Dollar Forecast: 43.5 Hryvnias by the New Year

Expert Andriy Zablovskyi believes that the situation with the dollar may be 'pessimistic':

'The price of the dollar in the interbank market is rising; in December we will have a corridor of 43.5–43 UAH for cash. Much will depend on the actions of the National Bank; it is likely that throughout December, it will restrain its rapid appreciation through currency sales.'

As for the cash market, Zablovskyi predicts that at the beginning of December it will 'test the level of 43 UAH/dollar in sales', and by the end of the month it may reach 43.5 UAH/dollar.

Another expert, Oleg Pendzin, has a similar forecast:

• The cash dollar rate will reach 43 UAH in sales in the first decade of December.

• In the third decade, it will exceed 43.5 UAH/dollar, but will not reach the 44 UAH mark.

What Will Happen with the Euro

The euro exchange rate, according to Oleg Pendzin, will change in accordance with the quotes of the dollar/euro pair in international markets. The expert noted that at the current quotes of 1.16 dollars/euro, the cash euro sales rate may exceed 50 UAH/euro.
