A Slap for Putin: Zelensky Explained Why Russians Are Deploying Their and Korean Troops to the Kursk Region.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the strategic reasons and consequences of the AFU operation in the Kursk region and spoke about Russia's plans to involve North Korean military to compensate for the shortage of its forces.
Zelensky noted that the AFU operation in the Kursk region dealt a serious blow to Russia and confirmed the vulnerability of its army. The President stated that Russia uses its troops exclusively against Ukraine, not to protect itself. Zelensky also emphasized that Ukraine does not intend to occupy the territory of the Russian Federation, and the return of its own territories is its main goal.
The President revealed the scale of Russian military presence in the Kursk region and explained the strategic goals of the Ukrainian operation.
Zelensky also noted that the involvement of North Korean military indicates a shortage of Russia's own forces. He stressed the necessity of strengthening Ukraine’s position and readiness for future negotiations with Russia.
Additionally, Zelensky noted that Russia is involving DPRK troops to avoid mobilization and expressed disappointment at the West's zero reaction to such actions.
The President also spoke about the conditions for the end of the war.
