Legendary American Brand Pottery Barn Launches in the UK: What They Offer.
First Pottery Barn Store Opens in the UK
According to The Sun: The legendary American home textiles brand, already known as 'better than IKEA', is opening its doors for the first time in the UK. Today, Pottery Barn launched a new website for shoppers in this country.
GettyThis iconic brand, known for its stylish furniture, cozy bedding, and elegant home accessories, will now offer delivery across the UK.
Additionally, Pottery Barn plans to open its locations in John Lewis stores by the end of this year. Fans will also be able to purchase the brand's products in person this October: in a pop-up store on Tottenham Court Road in London at West Elm.
Shoppers will explore selected collections of popular furniture, lighting, bedding, as well as decorative accessories and seasonal decor.
The brand, known for its cozy style, is owned by retail giant Williams-Sonoma, which considers the UK as its next major market.
Services and Innovations
Shoppers in the UK will also gain access to the Design Crew service, which will provide free one-on-one consultations in-store or online from Pottery Barn specialists. Participants will receive styling tips for their homes during the sessions.
“We are excited to bring Pottery Barn's timeless aesthetic and quality execution to the UK through a dedicated website that aligns with our values and shares our passion for incredible products,” said Laura Alber, CEO of Williams-Sonoma.
The brand has launched its new website in the UK just in time for the seasonal change, showcasing a vast collection of autumn tableware and decor in cozy forest patterns, as well as many green, brown, and checkered designs.
British shoppers eagerly await the chance to enjoy Pottery Barn's stylish offerings, already comparing them to IKEA's products but deeming them more sophisticated.
“You really have to pay for quality at IKEA; sometimes there are good sofas at the same price as elsewhere,” noted one fan.
“Everything I ever bought at IKEA was cheap stuff that broke immediately,” added another fan.
Other American Brands Opening in the UK
Pottery Barn is not the only American brand expanding its business in the UK. Currently, there is an active influx of American fast-food chains into the British market. For instance, Chick-fil-A, known for its chicken sandwiches, has already opened two restaurants in Northern Ireland, with several more planned in London and Leeds by 2025.
The iconic diner chain Denny’s also has significant expansion plans in the UK.
