Hamilton will miss Ferrari test in Mugello: the reason has been named.
According to The Sun: Lewis Hamilton will not participate in the Formula 1 test event taking place today.
The Ferrari team planned to test cars at the Mugello circuit in Italy as part of a Pirelli tire check.
Instagram @roscoelovescocoHowever, it has been revealed that the seven-time world champion will be unable to attend the circuit.
No official reason for his absence has been provided.
This comes after Hamilton posted an emotional message about the health of his beloved dog Roscoe.
The dog, who has been with Hamilton since 2013, suffered from severe pneumonia earlier this year.
When asked about Roscoe, Hamilton admitted that his 'heart stops' when he receives updates about his fluffy friend from trainer Kirstin McMillan.
After the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Hamilton shared a photo of Roscoe undergoing treatment at a veterinary clinic in his Instagram story.
“These were terrifying hours, everyone, please keep Roscoe in your thoughts and prayers,” he said.
Get well wishes for Roscoe have been coming in from all quarters, including fellow animal lovers on social media, such as Alex Albon, who wrote: “We are praying so hard for you, Roscoe. We are thinking of you. Please get well soon.”
Hamilton's Replacement
Hamilton will be replaced in testing by Ferrari reserve driver and former Formula 1 driver Zhou Guanyu.
The Chinese driver shared a photo in a Ferrari race suit ahead of the test, where he participated in trials alongside Arthur Leclerc – Charles Leclerc's brother.
On the circuit, Haas drivers Esteban Ocon and Oli Bearman are also present.
Meanwhile, former Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean is returning to racing, getting behind the wheel of an F1 car for the first time since a horrific crash at the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2020.
Although Hamilton will not be participating in today's test, his absence underscores the importance of pet health for racers. The support received by Roscoe demonstrates not only the care from fans but also the unity within the motorsport community. Hamilton's replacement signifies Ferrari's proactive preparation for upcoming competitions, and Grosjean's return will delight his fans after a long hiatus. Read also
