Roscoe suffered from a recurring pneumonia, causing his heart to stop during veterinary assistance. Hamilton, deeply saddened, admitted he was unsure if his beloved pet would wake up.

In a grieving statement on Instagram on Monday morning, he confirmed that Roscoe had died.

“After four days on life support, fighting with all his strength, I had to make the hardest decision of my life and say goodbye to Roscoe.”
“He never stopped fighting until the very end. I feel immense gratitude and honor that I had the chance to share my life with such a beautiful soul, an angel, and a true friend.”
“Bringing Roscoe into my life was the best decision I ever made, and I will always cherish the memories we created together.”
“Although I lost Coco, I have never faced the question of putting a dog to sleep, even though I know my mom and many close friends have experienced this.”
“This is one of the most painful experiences, and I feel a deep connection with everyone who has suffered the loss of a beloved pet.”
“Though it was very hard, having him was one of the most beautiful parts of life — to love so deeply and be loved back.”
“Thank you all for the love and support you have shown to Roscoe over the years. It was incredibly special to witness and feel.”
“He passed away on Sunday evening, September 28, in my arms.”

Roscoe had always been by Hamilton's side for many years and often appeared in the paddock during races.

He even made a cameo in the film “Formula 1: The Movie” alongside Brad Pitt.

The public favorite had his own Instagram account, which had 1.4 million followers.

This loss has impacted not only Hamilton but the entire Formula 1 team, his fans, and supporters who followed the life of this red bulldog. Roscoe became an important part of the motorsport world, bringing joy to everyone around him every day.
