According to The Sun: Luis Diaz admits he didn't know how talented Harry Kane was until he started playing alongside him.

The players' careers in the Premier League intersected for a year and a half: Diaz joined Liverpool in January 2022, while Kane left Tottenham the following summer.

Only after Diaz joined Bayern for a £65.5 million deal two months ago did he truly appreciate Kane's quality of play.

When asked who impressed him at Bayern, Diaz replied:

“Harry Kane. Since my time at Liverpool when he was still playing for Tottenham, I knew he scored a lot of goals.”

“But when I first trained with him, I thought: 'This guy is brutal.'”

“He does everything - scores goals, controls the game, and even defends.”

“He totally surprised me. I'm very happy to be playing alongside him now.”

Diaz and Kane took the field in a match where Bayern crushed the Cypriot team Paphos 5-1 on Tuesday night.

Kane, who showcased his skills in a match against Chelsea last month, added two goals to his tally, bringing their total to an impressive 17 in just nine games this season.

Although Diaz couldn't score, he got off to a fantastic start, netting three goals and three assists in his first five Bundesliga matches.

The 28-year-old attributes his success to the support of his teammates.

He noted:

“The whole team helps me. The locker room sticks together, there's a calm and grounded atmosphere here. It feels like a big family.”

“This, along with the trust the coach [Vincent Kompany] has given me from the start, has been very important for my start here in Munich.”

“We have many great attacking players who not only think about scoring themselves but also help their teammates.”

“This gives me a lot of confidence and security. Playing in attack with them is incredible.”

Diaz emphasizes how important team support is to him, especially in the new environment at Bayern.
