Lukashenko mocked democracy: Kallas commented on the fictitious 'elections' in Belarus.
The EU condemned Lukashenko before the elections
Kaja Kallas, a high-ranking official of the European Union, condemned Alexander Lukashenko, the current president of Belarus, ahead of the upcoming presidential 'elections'. In her post on social media, she stated that Lukashenko has completely lost legitimacy.
'Lukashenko has been in power for 30 years. Tomorrow he will appoint himself again at the falsified elections. This is a gross violation of democracy. Lukashenko has no legitimacy whatsoever,' emphasized the EU representative.
Early voting for the presidential elections has already started in Belarus and will last until January 25. The democratic forces of the country are calling on the international community not to recognize these 'elections'.
