PDC rejected the idea of the Triple Crown in darts: what the organization's leader explained.
The concept of the "Triple Crown" will not be recognized
According to The Sun: LUKE LITTLER gained attention following comments about the so-called "forbidden" concept.
The head of the PDC dismissed this new idea as impractical.

Among the darts players advocating for official recognition of the "Triple Crown" is world champion Littler and world number one Luke Humphries.
The 18-year-old Littler became the youngest and only the fifth player in history to win the World Championship, Premier League, and World Matchplay.
He completed this set by defeating James Wade in the Matchplay final, coming back from 5-0 to win 18-13 in July.
Littler joined legendary players such as Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, and Humphries in this exclusive club.
PDC has no intention of recognizing the achievement
Despite many fans and players supporting the idea of recognizing the "Triple Crown", the PDC does not plan to officially acknowledge this achievement.
This is because the Premier League is an invitation-only event without a ranking system.
Commenting on the possibility of a "Triple Crown", PDC head Matt Porter stated:
“No, we haven't considered this. A small number of people came up with the phrase known as the Triple Crown.”

“All you're doing by classifying some events on one level is ignoring other events.”
“This narrative is very interesting, and it keeps you all busy, and also gives fans something to discuss during meetings.”
New PDC schedule for 2026
PDC also announced a busy schedule for 2026 - the largest and tightest schedule to date, adding Slovakia and Poland.
Additionally, significant changes will take place in the Premier League.
Exeter will be excluded from the schedule for the first time since 2009, while Antwerp will debut for the first time, amid the growing popularity of darts in Belgium.
Porter admitted this was a commercial decision:
“It's never an easy decision to take a place out of the Premier League, especially Exeter.”
“But this is a commercial decision. The exponential growth of darts in Belgium requires a prominent Premier League night. AFS Dome in Antwerp will be a fantastic venue.”The recognition of the "Triple Crown" remains a topic of discussion in the world of darts, but the PDC has clearly indicated that at this time, it is not planning any official changes. Meanwhile, the new schedule for 2026 promises exciting moments for darts fans due to the addition of new locations and clubs, which may further increase interest in this sport.
