Fuehlscher noted:

“Our client Christian B. is currently serving a sentence in the correctional facility in Shende. He will be released on September 17, 2025. Contrary to rumors, there is no early release confirmed, nor has any transfer to another facility been planned or carried out.”

“The defense has approached the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice requesting appropriate measures to ensure our client's safety and maintain order in the facility.”

“No response has been received yet. To ensure the safety of Christian B., I am in close contact with the respective police.”

Bruecker is serving a seven-year sentence for a crime in Shende, Germany.

According to reports, the former police officer paid off court debts which allowed him to be released three months early.

German officials hope that British police will resume the investigation into Bruecker.

Bruecker denies any involvement in the disappearance of three-year-old Madeline in Portugal in 2007.

The situation surrounding Christian Bruecker remains quite tense. Despite the lawyer's support and requests for protection, cases related to his persona continue to attract media and public interest. His release may mark an important milestone in the investigation of the disappearance of Madeline McCann, which remains open. Thus, further developments raise many questions and expectations.
