According to The Sun: E.ON Next is offering free electricity on bank holidays until March 2026. This offer is already available on Good Friday, the second day of Easter, and the May bank holiday Monday. Customers can save about £28 each year, receiving a potential saving of £3.50 on each bank holiday.

To participate in the free electricity offer, customers must sign a 'Pledge' tariff agreement, which offers fixed rates below the Ofgem price cap. This tariff, fixed for 12 months, can save the typical household around £50 a year.

A representative from E.ON Next stated: 'We are happy to offer free electricity hours on bank holidays to help our customers save on their energy bills.'

EDF is also offering its customers the opportunity to receive up to 16 hours of free electricity on Sundays in September, reducing electricity consumption during peak hours. To participate in the promotion, customers must shift their energy consumption away from peak hours on weekdays and have a smart meter that sends readings every 30 minutes.

Registration by the end of August

Customers must register for the E.ON Next offer by August 31 at 23:59 to not miss out on the promotion.

Other companies, such as Ovo Energy, Scottish Power, and British Gas, also provide consumers with the opportunity to receive electricity at half price or even for free on weekends. Octopus Energy customers, by signing up for Octoplus, can participate in free electricity sessions when wholesale prices drop below zero.

The text is in the style typically used by Ukrainian media outlets, highlighting the importance of energy company promotions during bank holidays.
