The cost of a large Milk Tray box will decrease from £11 to £5.50.

Prices for large Cadbury buttons, Crunchie Rocks, Oreo Bites, and Twirl Bites will fall from £1.95 to 97p.

Additionally, large 90-gram bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk will drop from £2.20 to £1.50.

The discounts are valid from Wednesday, September 17, and will last until Sunday, September 21.

However, this promotional offer is only available to Nectar cardholders. If you are not yet a member, we recommend signing up. It’s free, and you can collect points on shopping and fuel at Sainsbury's, which can then be exchanged for discounts.

Another added:
“I bought a few in the last promotion.”
Many people emphasized that such promotions are popular among shoppers, so it’s wise to act quickly to not miss out on great offers.

One commenter said:

“If it's like last time, our local store only had chocolate buttons all week.”

Price wars on festive chocolates

Sweet treats under the Christmas tree are an essential part of Christmas for the British. Supermarkets frequently offer enticing promotions that allow shoppers to get their favorite snacks at reduced prices.

However, such offers can be short-lived. Earlier this month, Tesco lowered the price of Quality Street boxes to £2.95, providing an excellent opportunity for shoppers to prepare for the holiday.

You’ll have to be careful not to eat all the treats before December. In addition to large chocolate boxes, other festive favorites have already appeared on the shelves. Mini snowballs from Cadbury, which are popular during this season, are now available at Asda. Terry’s has also presented new options for its classic orange chocolate, while Mars has showcased its new festive range.

How to save on chocolate

We all love chocolate, but there’s no need to spend big money on your favorite bars.

Saving journalist Sam Walker shared tips on how to cut down your spending:

Choose own brand – If you’re not too fussy about taste and just want to satisfy your chocolate cravings, opt for supermarket brand chocolate bars.

Compare prices – Once you find your favorite type at a supermarket, check if it's cheaper at other stores.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk conveniently allow you to compare prices on products across major chains to discover where you can save more.

Look out for yellow labels – Supermarket staff use yellow, often orange and red, labels to indicate discounts.

This usually means that the product is close to its expiration date or the packaging has minor damage.

Buy larger chocolate bars – Generally, but not always, chocolate becomes cheaper per 100 grams if the bar is larger.

So, if you plan to buy a lot of chocolate, it’s worth choosing a large bar.
