Macron called both leaders and was pleased with Zelensky's willingness to resume dialogue with Washington. The French President believes that exiting the Ukrainian conflict does not align with the interests of the United States and could undermine their deterrent capacity regarding Russia and other countries. He warned about the threat posed by Russia to Europe and emphasized the need for a European defense architecture.

Macron stated that France has a strong voice and continues to support Ukraine in security matters. He explained that Jordan Bardella's party did not participate in the meeting at the Elysee Palace regarding Ukraine and security in Europe.
