Macron announces EU defense plan worth hundreds of billions of euros.
French President Emmanuel Macron expressed a positive attitude towards the clash between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky in the White House, considering it not a sign of a rupture in relations. Macron called both leaders and was pleased with Zelensky's willingness to resume dialogue with Washington. The French President believes that exiting the Ukrainian conflict does not align with the interests of the United States and could undermine their deterrent capacity regarding Russia and other countries. He warned about the threat posed by Russia to Europe and emphasized the need for a European defense architecture.
Macron stated that France has a strong voice and continues to support Ukraine in security matters. He explained that Jordan Bardella's party did not participate in the meeting at the Elysee Palace regarding Ukraine and security in Europe.
