French President Emmanuel Macron expressed doubts about Russian leader Vladimir Putin's readiness to end the war, believing that he shows no desire to end the conflict.
When I look at the situation and the facts, I do not see President Putin right now very eager for peace.
Macron also welcomed Donald Trump's optimism regarding the possibility of a peace agreement, urging to take this possibility seriously.
If he believes he can make a deal, that is great news, and we must do everything we can to achieve a great agreement.
Furthermore, Macron proposed to hold a quadrilateral summit involving representatives of Ukraine, the USA, Russia, and Europe, threatening Putin with punishment in case of refusal for peaceful dialogue.
In his expressed doubts and calls for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, President Macron continues an active policy of engaging all parties in negotiations and seeking a peaceful way out of the situation.
