Interest in Vlahovic from Manchester United and Chelsea

According to The Sun: Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic during the January transfer window.

25-year-old Vlahovic caught the attention of football experts with his impressive performances at Fiorentina in 2022, after which he moved to Juventus.

Vlahovic was also eyed in the summer when Newcastle considered him as a potential target. However, according to SunSport,

none of the candidates were willing to pay him the same salary he receives in Turin
.

The Serbian footballer earns £10.4 million a year at Juventus. According to Gazzetta, United and Chelsea plan to make bids for Vlahovic in January.

Juventus intends to sell the player during the winter transfer window, as his contract expires in June 2026, and otherwise, he could leave the club for free in the summer.

Serie A clubs are willing to sell Vlahovic for a reasonable price to avoid financial losses. This could help Manchester United and Chelsea bypass potential market competition if they can pay for him up front.

United and Chelsea could sign Vlahovic for a significantly lower price than if he were to become a free agent.

So far this season, the striker has scored four goals and provided one assist in six matches across all competitions for Juventus.

This adds to his overall statistics: 62 goals and 15 assists in 151 games since joining the club three years ago.

Vlahovic also faces competition in the Juventus squad from players such as Jonathan David and Lois Openda.

The situation surrounding Vlahovic remains tense as the Manchester clubs actively assess their options. Given his professional journey, it’s likely that interest in him will grow, which could lead to increased competition in the race for the Juventus star. Club owners are already devising strategies to impress the Serbian with their offers in January, so we will keep an eye on further developments.
