Garnacho's return to Old Trafford

According to The Sun: Manchester United players felt 'sorry' for Alejandro Garnacho as he became the target of fan ire during his return to Old Trafford.

The well-known former United player faced relentless criticism from fans for his lack of loyalty after leaving the team this summer for Chelsea for £40 million.

Conflict with the coach

The 21-year-old Garnacho had a falling out with United coach Ruben Amorim after remaining on the bench during the Europa League final against Tottenham, where United lost 1-0.

After the match, he voiced his displeasure, calling it a 's*** season,' prompting Amorim to advise him to find another club.

Although Garnacho did not participate in the match against United, he became a target of fan criticism during the warm-up and before leaving the field.

While some United players harbored negative feelings towards him, more experienced footballers felt sorry for his reception.

“Garnacho is a very talented guy, but it cannot be denied that at times he behaved inappropriately while he was at United. Some experienced players tried to talk to him; sometimes he listened, sometimes he didn't.”

A source also added: “Many players were sorry for his reception at Old Trafford. It wasn't a surprise, but everyone thinks he's a young guy who was poorly advised.”

Future plans

Garnacho hopes for a successful start to his career at Chelsea after the match in the Carabao Cup against Lincoln.

Although he did not impress in that match, the Sunday game against Brighton could be a great opportunity for a new beginning.

Garnacho, while not able to showcase much due to the injury of Cole Palmer, got a chance to show his abilities in the absence of that player, as confirmed by coach Enzo Maresca.

Last season, Garnacho made 58 appearances for United, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists.

Overall, he participated in 144 matches for the 'Red Devils,' scoring 48 goals.

Garnacho's return to the team was tense, and fans seemingly could not forget his move to Chelsea. Only time will tell if he can overcome these challenges and prove his worth in the new team, as well as in future high-stakes matches.
