According to The Sun: Manny Pacquiao officially announced his return to the ring, which will take place on January 24 in Las Vegas.

The Filipino boxer came out of retirement in July to compete for the WBC world title in the welterweight division against Mario Barrios.

This was his first fight in FOUR YEARS, and although he hadn't fought for so long, many believed he was unlucky to leave with only a draw.

But the 46-year-old Pacman is preparing to return to the ring once again.

“Hello to all my boxing fans. I am happy to announce that I will return to the ring on January 24 in Las Vegas.”

“This will be an exciting and special event. Stay tuned for updates. We will soon announce my opponent.”

Pacquiao, who turns 47 in December, hopes to once again fight for the championship title in the 147 pound category, this time against 29-year-old WBA champion Rolando Romero.

According to Ring Magazine, other candidates are also being considered, such as Gervonta Davis and Conor Benn.

Davis, 30, will initially face YouTuber and then boxer Jake Paul, 28, in an exhibition fight in Miami on November 14.

The next day, Benn, 29, will have a rematch with Chris Eubank Jr., 36, after losing the second fight in April.

Romero, who recently won against 26-year-old Ryan Garcia in May, is the top contender for the fight with Pacquiao.

“We are negotiating and finalizing the deal.”

His advisor Sean Gibbons told ESPN: “We wanted to have a fight by the end of the year, but timing didn’t align.”

“We believe that 2026 will be a new beginning, and we hope a new opponent will be found.”

“I believe that the perfect time for Manny to return and make a statement is January, and I think the perfect opponent is Rolando Romero.”
