GettyThe study shows that Hull has become the most cost-effective place to buy beer, where the average price is just £3.68.

Rising Beer Prices
The information shows that the cheapest beer can mainly be found in the north of England and Wales, while prices rise in the south.
The average cost of beer in Great Britain is £5.50, notes Finder. The price of beer in London is nearly double that of Hull and Dundee.
In the capital, beer lovers can expect to pay an average of £6.83 for a pint, making it the most expensive city in the country for purchasing beer.
This amount exceeds the cost of the cheapest beer by £3.15.
Outside of London, high price increases are observed in cities such as Bath and Winchester, where the average price is £6. Brighton is slightly more expensive, with an average price of £6.03.
In Edinburgh, a pint of beer costs about £5.90.
The Finder study also covers other countries.
The cheapest beer in the world can be found in Antananarivo, Madagascar, for just £0.68. The most expensive beer is sold in Doha, Qatar, for an impressive £9.95. Qatar, the UAE, Oman, and Iceland made the list of countries with the highest beer prices, while Great Britain ranked 11th, surpassing Finland.
At the bottom of the list are Ethiopia, Togo, and Laos, where average expenses do not exceed £1.
Recently, The Sun reported on the rising beer prices. In April, the British Beer and Pub Association warned that the average price in Great Britain would rise from approximately £4.80 to £5.01.
Pubs are forced to raise prices due to a series of costs announced in the October budget. They note that the only way to survive is to pass the increased prices onto customers.
“Pubs plan to raise their prices by 21 pence, so we feel sorry.”
Simon Dodd, CEO of Young's, reported that the network plans to increase prices by 2.5% - 3%. Meanwhile, Wetherspoons has also raised prices for some of its drinks and meals by up to 30 pence.
More than 400 pubs in England and Wales were closed or repurposed last year, according to Altus Group data.
As a result, the number of pubs in these countries has fallen below 39,000 for the first time.
It seems that these high prices will not decrease anytime soon. The Sun noted that the price of a pint of lager could reach £13 in five years.
The latest study predicts that inflation and rising costs for pubs may double prices by 2030.
According to forecasts, the average pint of a standard brand will soon cost £5.17 — and in London, £6.10.
Prices are expected to reach £8 nationwide by 2030, and up to £11 in cities.
It is worth noting that in 'tourist areas and stadiums' prices may reach £12–£13 for a pint.
Due to rising beer prices, many pubs are facing financial difficulties, leading to a reduction in their numbers. At the same time, studies show that beer prices may continue to rise in the coming years, so beer lovers can expect new records in cost at their favorite establishments.
