Maresca on Sterling and Disasi's Isolation: My Father was a Fisherman for 50 Years, Here’s What’s Hard.
According to The Sun: Head Coach of 'Chelsea' Enzo Maresca suggested Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi try their hand at fishing like his father.
According to SunSport, the club received a request from PFA Chief Maehtha Molango regarding the isolation of Sterling and Disasi, who remained the only members of the 'bomb squad' of surplus players.
Sterling, who earns £325,000 a week, had to train alone at 20:00.

Maresca commented on the potential impact of such a situation on players' mental health, noting:
“My father is 75 years old, and for 50 years he has been a fisherman, working from 2 AM to 10 AM. It’s hard, as life is not like playing.”
Saint Pascal's mother went missing during the celebratory events of 'Manchester City’s' Champions League victory when his son was an assistant to Pep Guardiola.
While Padre appeared safe and sound, Sterling and Disasi are no longer in 'Chelsea's' plans.
The Situation in the Team
Maresca has some sympathy for them, having experienced similar situations during his playing career.
He emphasized that this problem is not unique to his club—such cases occur in football all over the world when players find themselves in difficult situations and do not transition to new teams.
Maresca stated:
“I was in Raheem and Axel’s situation, and I know exactly that it’s not the best feeling, because if you are a player, you want to train and play.”
Throughout the summer, Sterling, Disasi, and other members of the 'bomb squad' were forced to change, train, and even eat separately from their first-team colleagues.
Sterling openly showcased his situation, posting a photo from the 'Chelsea' training base in Cobham.
He wrote that he plans to start solo training at 20:21.
'Chelsea' categorically rejected all suggestions that their treatment of players could be deemed 'abuse' under FIFA rules.

Additionally, according to Maresca, none of the players are likely to file complaints with FIFA.
Disasi has a contract worth £80,000 a week for another six years, which means he will have to pay over £20 million if he decides to leave 'Chelsea' on his own.
Sterling, for his part, still has nearly two years left on a £325,000-a-week contract, worth around £30 million.
These amounts far exceed what Maresca's father earned from fishing in the Mediterranean over half a century.

The situation with Sterling and Disasi highlights the difficulties that even star players can face. Despite high salaries, players also experience challenges related to their professional status. The coming days could be decisive for players trying to find their way in the new environment at 'Chelsea.'
