According to The Sun: A witness describes a horrific scene as former NFL player Mark Sanchez, covered in blood, knocked on the windows of a bar pleading for help after a fight in a narrow alley.
The 38-year-old football player, who now works as a commentator, is currently facing criminal charges after being injured in the incident that occurred Saturday morning in Indiana.
FOX59Sanchez is accused of attacking a 69-year-old driver he had a conflict with because his delivery van was blocking the alley in Indianapolis. Court documents reviewed by Fox show that the victim detected the smell of alcohol on the former player’s breath before he stabbed him in fear for his life.
After the attack, Sanchez arrived at Loughmiller’s Pub & Eatery around 12:30 PM and began banging on the windows. Bartender Scott Bennett, who was closing the establishment, said he saw the frantic player “needed help” and went outside.
“I saw the man needed help and went out. He was covered in blood and said he had been shot,” Bennett explained.
