Odesa Hit by Major Drone Strike: Residential Areas and Market Damaged.

According to Novyny.live: In the early hours of February 12, the city of Odesa came under a massive assault by attack drones, which struck civilian targets including residential neighborhoods and a market. The assault began around 00:30 with an initial explosion. The attack caused widespread destruction, including the leveling of a nine-story apartment building, damage to a supermarket, and the destruction of more than 20 passenger vehicles. A 58-year-old man was injured in the attack and required hospitalization.
The barrage of explosions was continuous, with witnesses describing the first blast as 'absolutely nightmarish'.
"The first explosion was absolutely nightmarish, and then they came one after another, without stopping," said city resident Raisa.Trading stalls at the market were also burned down, further compounding the difficulties for local residents.
The Plight of Local Residents
Local residents expressed their anguish and anxiety over the strikes targeting civilians.
"It's very hard to endure all this. The worst part is that they are hitting peaceful people, the elderly and defenseless," shared Yuriy Savelyovych.Despite the destruction, the people of Odesa remain determined to rebuild.
- "The most important thing is that everyone is alive and well. When you think about what could have happened, it becomes truly terrifying," noted Ruslan.
- "We will live and rebuild. The main thing is for people to stay alive," said Valentyna Oleksandrivna.
- "We will clear the debris and get back to work. Life must go on," added Svitlana.
- "We will move forward. People are waiting for us," concluded Hryhoriy.
