Air Raid Alerts Sound Across Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: On March 29, 2023, Ukraine declared an air raid alert due to the threat of attack drones. Hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were detected in several regions, including the northern and southern parts of Chernihiv Oblast, the northern and southern areas of Sumy Oblast, as well as the northern and western sections of Dnipropetrovsk and Khmelnytskyi Oblasts. Additionally, drones were launched from the Black Sea area.
The previous evening, on March 28, 2023, the Voskresenska community in Mykolaiv Oblast came under attack from Shahed-type drones. This assault caused damage to private property in Kyiv Oblast and resulted in injuries to a civilian resident.
Flight Paths of Detected Drones
According to reports, the detected drones followed various trajectories:
- in southern Chernihiv Oblast — heading toward Kyiv Oblast,
- in northern Chernihiv Oblast — moving west,
- in northern and southern Sumy Oblast — heading west,
- in northern Dnipropetrovsk Oblast — moving west,
- in western Dnipropetrovsk Oblast — heading northeast,
- from the Black Sea area — heading toward Pivdenne/Chornomorske.
Drones were also observed in northern and southern Khmelnytskyi Oblast moving west, and in Kherson Oblast heading toward Mykolaiv Oblast.
This incident highlights the ongoing threat posed by drones used to target civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. Given the drone activity across various regions, particularly near the front lines, it is critical for the public to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines. The attacks on the Voskresenska community underscore the potential for further risks to civilians, raising serious concerns about regional security.
