Power Outage Hits Part of Odesa Region Following Major Attack.
Strike on Odesa Region
According to Novyny.live: On March 23, the Russian military launched a large-scale attack on the Odesa region, leaving a portion of the Odesa district without electricity. The assault, which occurred overnight on March 23 using attack drones, resulted in injuries to two individuals: an 18-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man. Both victims are reported to be in moderate condition.
As a consequence of the hostile strike, residents in parts of the Odesa district—including those in the Peresyp district of Odesa city—lost power. Energy workers have already begun restoration efforts to bring electricity back. However, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on March 23, stabilization blackout schedules are in effect across the Odesa region, causing additional inconvenience for local residents.
Energy Conservation Urged
Authorities are calling on residents to conserve electricity amid limited supply. Local government and energy companies are working to restore power, but the situation remains challenging due to the aftermath of the attack. It is crucial for residents to stay informed about potential outage schedules and restoration timelines.
This attack on the Odesa region is part of a broader military campaign ongoing in Ukraine, particularly in the southern regions.
Restoring electricity and ensuring safety in this area remain top priorities for local authorities. Given the persistent threats, residents should be prepared for possible new developments and follow recommendations to conserve resources.
