Attacks on Donetsk and Chernihiv Regions

According to UATV: On March 21, Russian forces launched strikes on Donetsk and Chernihiv regions, resulting in civilian deaths, infrastructure damage, and destruction of residential buildings. In Donetsk region, five people were killed and 14 others wounded. The attacks caused extensive damage to 35 civilian sites, including 12 residential buildings.

Kramatorsk was hit four times, damaging one apartment building and two private homes. Slaviansk endured five shelling incidents, three of which involved aerial bombs. These assaults have had severe consequences for local residents and their property.

Power Outages

Meanwhile, Chernihiv city and most of the surrounding region lost electricity, leaving approximately 430,000 households without power. Slavutych also experienced blackouts, affecting nearly 21,000 subscribers. In Oleksievo-Druzhkivka, a Russian drone attacked an evacuation team from a humanitarian mission. Two people were killed and three wounded in that incident.

These events underscore the dire humanitarian situation in areas affected by military operations.

It is important to note that attacks on civilian infrastructure and populations in Ukraine continue, significantly worsening the humanitarian crisis in these regions. The lack of electricity and damage to homes only amplify the suffering of local residents already enduring the war's consequences. These developments highlight the urgent need for international support and humanitarian aid for those affected by the conflict.
