A Cellar Saved Tala Kalatai's Mother: New Details on the Second Russian Strike on Her Home.
Russian Strike on the Home of Tala Kalatai's Mother
According to Espreso.tv: Tala Kalatai has shared new details about a Russian strike on her mother's house—the second such attack in the past month. In the early hours of July 2, Russia launched a massive assault on Ukraine, raising the death toll in Kyiv to 21 and injuring dozens more. During the attack, the TV presenter's mother was sheltering in a cellar, which Tala says saved her life. Tala recounted:
“Mom, where are you?” — her immediate reaction upon learning of the situation.
Following the explosion, Tala Kalatai's mother suffered severe emotional shock. She told her daughter: “The moment you hung up, the strike hit.” This reveals how close the TV presenter's family came to tragedy. Notably, air defense systems intercepted over 500 targets during this attack, yet that did not prevent devastation on the ground.
Call to Follow Safety Guidelines
Tala urged everyone to adhere to safety protocols, stating:
“Please, go to shelters and do not ignore safety rules.”
This incident serves as yet another reminder of the gravity of the situation in Ukraine and the critical need for caution amid ongoing hostilities.
The event highlights not only the direct consequences of military action in Ukraine but also the emotional trauma endured by ordinary citizens. With attacks continuing, it is essential that people remain vigilant and follow safety measures, as danger can strike even in seemingly secure locations. At the same time, such incidents raise concerns about regional stability and underscore the urgent need for international support to protect civilians.
