According to ТСН: The Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, stated that the year 2026 could be significantly more challenging than the previous one. She expressed this opinion during the traditional greeting to her staff ahead of the Christmas holidays.

The success of the country and the coherence of the government

Addressing her team, Meloni emphasized that Italy's success and an effective response to internal and external challenges depend on the coherence of the government. According to her, the country faces important tasks that require a team and maximum focus to solve.

“I love you all. We are a family, we argue all year. Last year was tough for all of us, but don't worry because the next year will be even worse! So I advise you to rest well during these holidays!”

Unity to overcome difficulties

The head of the government stressed that only unity will help overcome future difficulties.

Moreover, Meloni previously pointed out that Russia puts forward “unfounded” demands in the framework of peace negotiations with Ukraine mediated by the USA.

She also noted that Italy supports the idea of using frozen Russian assets, but only with a solid legal basis.
