Sin Arteta made his debut for Arsenal's youth team: what makes him special.
According to The Sun: The son of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, 16-year-old Gabriel, played for the Arsenal U-17 team last week.
Gabriel is the oldest son of 43-year-old manager Mikel Arteta and his wife Lorena Bernal. The couple also has two younger children: 13-year-old Daniel and 10-year-old Oliver.
ArsenalYouthIt is worth noting that Gabriel currently does not have a contract with the club.
However, according to Arsenal blogger Georgie Bird, the teenager appeared in the U-17 team's match against Watford on October 1.
In the Premier League Cup, both teams finished the match with a score of 3-3.
Unlike his father, Gabriel plays as a right winger.
If he signs a deal, he will become the club's first annual apprentice.
This is not the first time Gabriel has been spotted at Arsenal training sessions. In 2023, he was seen at the club's base during the team's preseason tour in the United States.
At the age of 14, Gabriel did not participate in training but observed them, wearing Arsenal gear with his initials.
Other stars with famous parents
Gabriel Arteta is not the only player with a famous father in the Premier League. Wayne Rooney's son, Kai, has also played for Manchester United's U-18 team this season.
Moreover, the sons of Emile Heskey, Reagan and Jaden, both took to the field for Man City during their victory 2-0 in the Carabao Cup against Huddersfield last month.
