Winter Prep in Mykolaiv: Kim Reveals State Funding Amount.
Mykolaiv Region Gears Up for Heating Season
According to Novyny.live: Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, has provided updates on the region's preparations for the upcoming heating season. He stated that state financing for related projects exceeds 1.5 billion hryvnias. Kim expressed confidence that Mykolaiv will be ready for winter, as all work is scheduled for completion before the heating season begins.
Financial Investments and Safety Measures
A key financial commitment includes allocating up to 1.2 billion hryvnias for a program involving block-modular boiler houses. According to Kim, this initiative will diversify heating options for over 100,000 residents in the regional capital. Additionally, up to 600 million hryvnias have been set aside for modernizing networks and making necessary connections.
Kim also highlighted that the distance to potentially hazardous areas ranges from 4 to 30 kilometers, a critical factor in planning safety protocols during the heating season. This geographic reality underscores the need for robust infrastructure in a region affected by ongoing conflict.
“We will finish everything before the heating season”
Vitaliy Kim
Preparing the Mykolaiv region for the heating season is a crucial step in ensuring the comfort and safety of its residents amid potential risks linked to military operations. The allocation of substantial financial resources for infrastructure upgrades reflects active local government efforts to boost energy efficiency and reduce reliance on centralized heating. These measures could also positively impact the region's socio-economic situation by fostering stability in essential public services.
