The Ministry of Ecology has banned the planting of certain tree species: full list.
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine has announced a list of trees and plants that are strictly prohibited from being planted in Ukrainian forests. This is an important step aimed at preventing potential negative consequences for the ecosystem.
Prohibited species include Ailanthus altissima, Eleutherococcus senticosus, Juglans nigra, Quercus rubra, and others that were previously actively used in economic practice for the rapid restoration of forests. These restrictions will help preserve Ukraine's unique nature and ensure ecological safety during forest restoration.
Disputes over the prohibitions
Despite this, representatives of the forestry industry have opposed the bans and even filed complaints with the State Forestry Service, doubting the legality of this decision. However, these restrictions are necessary for maintaining biodiversity and preserving ecosystems in Ukraine.
In the meantime, private landowners and gardeners are advised to carefully consider the choice of plants for planting, taking into account local conditions and expert advice. It is important to remember that not all trees are suitable for forming sustainable green spaces.
Poland has also introduced new rules for drivers from Ukraine, which will be implemented in accordance with the agreement between the countries.
In the new list of prohibited plants, the Ministry of Environmental Protection emphasizes the importance of ecosystem conservation. The implementation of bans can have long-term benefits for biodiversity and the stability of natural resources. Landowners should take these decisions into account when planning their plantings to ensure the ecological safety of their territories.Read also
