The Ministry of Finance announced funding for local budgets in 2026: what will change.
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine held consultations with representatives of local self-government regarding cooperation between the state and local budgets in 2026.
During the meeting, they discussed the financing of local budgets and identified key directions for the next year. In particular, additional subsidies, compensation for heating tariffs, as well as financing for education and basic subsidies for local budgets were provided.
'The priority of the state budget for 2026 remains support for the security and defense sector, but we also pay close attention to the needs of local self-government. Strong communities are an important foundation for the resilience of our country. Preliminary calculations of financial resources for local budgets for 2026 have been made taking into account projected growth, at the level of indicators for 2025,' said the First Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine.
At the meeting, they also raised issues of inter-budget relations, financing for education and healthcare, compensation for tariff differences, as well as support for front-line territories. All proposals from associations of local self-government will be carefully considered.

Consultations with representatives of local self-governments underscore the importance of ensuring stability at the local level and the desire to create optimal conditions for the development of territories in the future.
