Romania will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package: what will be included.
According to FREEДOM: Ukraine will receive its 23rd military aid package from Romania. This news was announced today, August 25, by Ukraine's Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov after a meeting with his Romanian counterpart Liviu-Yonut Motianu.
During his visit to Kyiv, the Romanian Minister of Defense noted that Bucharest continues to support Ukrainian F-16 pilots and provide other necessary assistance in air threat defense. Plans for enhancing coordination between the air defense forces of both countries were also agreed upon, along with discussions on challenges posed by Russian aggression.
'We emphasized the importance of developing cooperation in the industrial sector. Our priority is the production of long-range aircraft and interceptor drones, as well as FPV drones. We discussed the possibility of utilizing the SAFE mechanism for joint technological projects and launching Ukrainian production in Romania. Another important topic is Romania's joining the PURL initiative, which will help the Ukrainian military obtain American weapons,' Reznikov shared on his Facebook.
Romania could become an important security guarantor for Ukraine, as it is willing to provide its military bases to NATO allies.
