DOT-Chain Defence: How the Ministry of Defence Delivers Thousands of UAVs to the Military in 5 Days.
New Digital Arms Procurement System
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has announced the implementation of an innovative digital system called DOT-Chain Defence, which functions as a weapons marketplace for military units.
'This decision from the Ministry of Defence has removed unnecessary bureaucracy in procurement and given brigades real autonomy: soldiers can choose the necessary UAVs with just a few clicks, without long approvals and paperwork. Financial, legal, and logistical issues are handled by the Defence Procurement Agency, allowing delivery times to be reduced from months to weeks. The record is only 5 days,' - the agency noted.
It was noted that the pilot phase of the program with a budget of 600 million UAH has already shown significant potential: since July 31, 12 brigades have received over 11,800 UAVs totaling 416 million UAH.
'Next, we are working on expanding the range of equipment and involving new units. The Ministry of Defence is implementing elements of decentralization in supply and making procurement simple, fast, and convenient,' - the message stated.
The DOT-Chain Defence digital system has allowed the Ministry of Defence to reduce bureaucratic barriers in arms procurement, ensuring greater autonomy for brigades and shortening delivery times. This has significantly simplified the process of supplying military personnel with everything they need, which is especially important in today's conditions.
