Ministry of Reintegration offers evacuation for Russians from Kursk region.
The Ministry for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories has opened a hotline for residents of the Kursk region who need humanitarian assistance or want to evacuate to Ukraine. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk.
In connection with the possible deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the adjacent territories of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, Ukraine must be ready to accept Russian refugees. Therefore, the Ministry of Reintegration has opened a hotline for residents of the Kursk region who need humanitarian assistance or want to evacuate to Ukraine, as stated in the message.

The Minister added that Ukraine adheres to all norms of international humanitarian law and will provide peaceful residents of the Kursk region with the necessary protection and humanitarian support.
Recall that today, August 14, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting on the situation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. Among other things, the creation of military commandant's offices was discussed if necessary.
The Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets reported that the creation of military commandant's offices in the Kursk region is necessary, in particular, to provide humanitarian assistance to local residents.
By the way, Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets had a conversation with the Russian Commissioner for Human Rights Tatyana Moskalkova regarding the exchange of prisoners against the backdrop of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' advancement in the Kursk region. The conversation was initiated by the Russian side.
