The Ministry of Justice explained how to properly conclude a marriage contract in Ukraine.

A marriage contract is a very important tool to avoid misunderstandings in property relations between a husband and wife. It allows to determine the rights and obligations of the parties in advance, so that in case of divorce, complex conflicts can be avoided.

It is important to know that a marriage contract can establish the property regime, the procedure for its division, obligations regarding housing and maintenance of one of the spouses, as well as the use of property for children.

For example, if one of the spouses is a foreigner, it is necessary to agree on whether the law of Ukraine or another state will apply to the contract. The main thing is to agree on all the details in advance to avoid unpleasant situations in the future and to live happily in marriage.
