Mobile Communication and Internet: How Tariffs of Operators Differ in Different Countries of the World.
The mobile communication market in 2024 is characterized by differences in service costs between countries and regions. The average global price for 1 GB of mobile internet is 2.59 dollars.
Israel shows record low figures – only 0.02 dollars for 1 GB of data, making it the absolute leader in the availability of mobile internet. Developed infrastructure and the widespread distribution of smartphones allow local operators to offer clients significant volumes of traffic at minimal prices.
Italy takes second place with a figure of 0.12 dollars per gigabyte. Ukraine is among the top twenty countries with the most affordable mobile internet, with a figure of 0.27 dollars for 1 GB.
The European mobile communication market is characterized by a balanced approach to pricing, with residents of the region spending an average of 1.37% of their income on communication services, which is the lowest figure in the world.
The highest prices for mobile internet are recorded in North America – an average of 4.98 dollars for 1 GB.
The 5G technology continues to develop actively. China is the leader in deploying fifth-generation networks with nearly 850 million users.
The market for virtual communication operators is showing an annual growth of 10.1%. Its volume is expected to reach 91.73 billion dollars in 2024.
By 2027, it is expected that 5G will become the dominant technology, surpassing 4G in the number of connections. Operators' investments in the development of 5G infrastructure will amount to about 600 billion dollars.
At the same Time, the development of 6G technologies is beginning, which promise a hundredfold increase in data transfer speed compared to 5G.
It should be noted that operators Vodafone and Kyivstar are raising the prices of their tariff plans, but are offering additional services for users.
The operator lifecell is launching a special promotion 'STOP-PRICE', which allows new subscribers to get a fixed price on tariffs until the end of 2025.
Special offers have also been developed for pensioners and students.
Subscribers of Kyivstar and Vodafone are actively switching to the lifecell network while keeping their numbers through the MNP service.
