New rules have been introduced for Ukrainian drivers at the border with Moldova
Now, to cross the border, you must have a vehicle inspection certificate, which is issued only at specialized service stations after the car has been checked. Without it, our driver may not be allowed to pass.
This certificate confirms that the vehicle is in proper condition, without serious faults, and complies with environmental standards. This requirement applies to all types of vehicles — from passenger cars to trucks and buses.
Mandatory documents for trips to Moldova
- foreign passport (biometric or with a visa);
- driver's license;
- vehicle registration document;
- insurance policy 'Green Card';
- inspection certificate;
- vignette — proof of payment of the road tax in Moldova.
There are also customs restrictions on the import of goods into Moldova, such as the prohibition on the import of drugs, weapons, unpackaged animal products, and others. Violations may result in confiscation of goods and a ban on entry.
