Moldova has introduced new rules for Ukrainian drivers: mandatory technical inspection certificate.
As reported by 'Khvylia', this is mentioned in the material by Novyny.LIVE.
According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, with the onset of autumn, requirements for drivers crossing the Moldovan border have been tightened. Now it is mandatory to have a certificate of the technical inspection of the vehicle. Without this document, the car will not be allowed to cross the border, despite having other required papers. The new rules apply to all types of transport – from passenger cars to trucks.
Obtaining a technical inspection certificate
To obtain a certificate of the technical inspection, you need to visit a licensed car service and undergo a comprehensive diagnostics of the vehicle. This document confirms that your vehicle is in proper condition, without serious breakdowns and meets all necessary standards.
In addition to the technical inspection certificate, drivers must also have other documents: a foreign passport, a driver's license, registration documents for the car, international auto insurance 'Green Card' and a vignette for paying road tolls in Moldova.
Prohibitions on the import of goods
Under Moldova's customs regulations, the import of narcotic substances, weapons, explosives, hazardous chemicals, as well as meat and milk without factory packaging, plants, planting material, and soil is prohibited. Violating these requirements may lead to the confiscation of prohibited items and even a ban on entry into the country.
There are currently nine checkpoints operating in the Odesa region, of which eight are designated for travel to Moldova. These new requirements aim to organize vehicle traffic at the border and ensure safe and legal trips to the neighboring country.
