It can happen to anyone - who is at risk of deportation from the EU in July.

By violating the laws of a foreign country, one can face serious punishment - deportation. Ukrainians abroad must adhere to migration rules to prevent the responsible authorities from making a decision on forced eviction. This is possible in many cases.
The News.LIVE website explains who among Ukrainians is at risk of deportation from the European Union in July 2025.
Reasons for Deportation from the EU
Having violated the law, one will have to bear responsibility. One of the consequences is deportation to the home country. Even a minor mistake, seemingly insignificant, can lead to serious punishment, which no one wants to face abroad.
Forced eviction in July awaits foreigners caught using false documents. This is the most common ground for deportation. But it is far from the only one. The list of 'popular' reasons includes:
- violation of legal stay rules in the EU;
- expiration of visa or residence permit;
- illegal crossing of state borders;
- committing a criminal offense;
- working without permission, on a student visa, etc.;
- conducting business unofficially, evading taxes;
- intentionally providing false information about oneself;
- being listed in the register of persons undesirable for entry into the European Union.
Ukrainians can appeal the decision on deportation. The law allows one to remain until a verdict is issued, but it is rare for the court to overturn the controlling authority's demand and permit the foreigner to stay abroad. This is a temporary option for accumulating funds and settling all matters.
It is worth remembering that depending on the reason for forced eviction, information about the citizen may be entered into the Schengen Information System (SIS) and the individual may be prohibited from entering the territory of a specific country or the EU for a certain period.
In some cases, deportation may be a better way out of a difficult situation. If a foreigner is caught attempting to bribe law enforcement to avoid deportation, the offender may face criminal responsibility - imprisonment for a term of at least 1 year.
What else should Ukrainians know
Let us remind you, the Lower House of the Dutch Parliament supported recognizing the deportation of Crimean Tatars by the Soviet Union in 1944 as genocide. The country in its decision joined Latvia, Lithuania, Canada, Poland, Estonia, and the Czech Republic.
We also wrote about whether European currency bills have changed in the over 20 years of existence. The new series differs from the old one only in security features, while the design remains almost identical. It wouldn’t hurt to know how to distinguish a 'rarity'.
Ukrainians who violate the laws of European Union countries may become subject to deportation. This can happen due to the use of false documents, violation of stay rules, illegal border crossing, or other offenses. Nevertheless, there is a possibility to appeal the decision and remain abroad until the matter is resolved by the court. It is important to adhere to migration rules to avoid negative consequences.
